Code and Theory Redesigns The Webby Awards Website

NEW YORK — Code and Theory and The Webby Awards unveiled today a newly redesigned webbyawards.com.

“Transforming our Internet presence with the visionaries at Code and Theory has allowed us to create a new home for the legacy of past Webby winners to live on, inspiring creativity and innovation in the people who view their work," said David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards.

The new responsive website features a revamped interactive winners gallery, cataloging the work of all winners over The Webby Awards’ 18-year history, and a modular, flexible design system to allow Webbys staff an easier away to adjust and adapt content throughout the awards cycle.

“The system we designed gives the Webbys staff so much more editorial control and creative freedom,” said Mike Treff, Managing Partner of the Product Design Group at Code and Theory. “The new site represents more than just a cleaner look and feel. It’s a much more powerful tool for the entire Webbys team to easily create new material, surface and repackage existing content from its incredible archive, and intelligently path users from one section to the next.”

The final entry deadline for 19th Annual Webby Awards is December 19, 2014. Nominees will be announced in April, and the hallmark Webby Awards ceremony will be held later in the spring.
