In her year-end wrap-up, Co.Design editor Suzanne LaBarre named Dan Gardner and Mike Treff's "Responsive Philosophy" to her list of of the 14 most important design lessons of 2014.

In the piece, which was published in late September, Gardner and Treff argue that all companies – and in particular, publishers – are in a unique position to carve out the future of the responsive web. Responsive design is just the beginning; having a holistic responsive philosophy is the future.
